Every five years, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) reviews the Maryland Transportation Plan (MTP), a 20-year vision for transportation statewide. Challenged to capture input throughout the state, engage Maryland’s residents, businesses, governmental agencies, and other interested organizations, and ensure that the goals, objectives, and strategies developed through the MTP update process reflect and respond to the needs of all of Maryland’s transportation stakeholders, Sharp & Company developed and executed a comprehensive stakeholder outreach plan.
Sharp & Company planned and organized four stakeholder-oriented roundtable events throughout the state and complemented it with an online survey tool that was promoted on MDOT agency web sites as well as on the home pages of Maryland’s 24 library systems, enabling all Marylanders to provide input for the plan.
